2011 CSCI Resident Research Award
The Canadian Society for Clinical Investigation (CSCI) and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) co-sponsor an Annual Resident Research Award Program. This prize is awarded annually for the best resident research project conducted during an RCPSC/CFPC residency training program at each Canadian Medical School.
The Office of Postgraduate Medical Education is pleased to announce that Dr. Alexander Gregory, a resident in the Anaesthesia Program, has won the 2011 CSCI Award for Excellence in Resident Research. The abstract is entitled “Both preparing to teach and teaching positively impact learning outcomes for peer teaching".
The second prize, offered by the Office of Postgraduate Medical Education, was awarded to Dr. Billie-Jean Martin, a resident in Cardiac Surgery. The abstract is entitled "The association between cardiac rehabilitation and outcomes in patients with coronary artery disease: focus on women and the elderly".
