Conference and Event Management Services

 

The CME Office provides a wide range of conference planning and event management services. Accreditation of CME events organized by the Office can be arranged providing the program meets the criteria for Mainpro-M1 (CFPC - family physician) and/or Section 1, Maintenance of Certification (RCPSC - specialist) credits as appropriate.

The range of services provided by the office, and associated fees, is detailed in the Conference Services document (PDF).
Contracted services may include any or all of:

  • program development, including needs assessment
  • venue and venue contracts, including catering, audiovisual arrangements
  • liaison with local and travelling speakers
  • coordination of ancillary events or social functions
  • brochure design, printing and distribution
  • development of course materials
  • program evaluation
  • participant registration
  • sponsor/exhibitor liaison
  • program financials

Fees for conference services vary depending on the service provided and course location. The per person (total registrants, speakers, exhibitors) fee ranges from $50 to $85 per delegate depending on the complexity of the event and the services provided by the Office, with a minimum charge of $2500 per program.
