New patients needed for family medicine clinics

The University of Calgary’s Faculty of Medicine and Alberta Health Services jointly operate two family medicine teaching clinics in Calgary. The clinics are staffed by numerous family doctors and act as a teaching tool for family medicine “residents” (recently graduated physicians training in family medicine). As a result of the recent expansion of the family medicine residency training program, made possible through funding from the Alberta government, the clinics have hired more family doctors who are able to accept new patients.
