The goal of the Calgary Youth Science Fair (CYSF) is to promote an appreciation for scientific principles and method in the youth of Calgary by means of an annual science competition. Yasamin Mahjoub, a Grade 12 student was the recipient of the Biochemistry and Experimental Biology Award for her work on ‘Protection Against Iron Neurotoxicity’.
