Fundraising Dinner for the Calgary Immigrant Women's Association (CIWA) on Nov. 4th in the HRIC Atrium.
This event is to raise awarness of new immigrant health issues and barriers to health care, and to raise funds to support CIWA's programs.
The event will consist od delicious African Indian Cuisine from the Zanzibar grill, several speakers, a silent auction, door prizes and a cash bar. We believe that improving access to health care, here at home, is the
first step in creating healthy communities with equal opportunities for
all people. This evening is not just a fundraiser, but a celebration of
our country’s diversity, a chance to discuss your interest in global
health with people from various backgrounds and perspectives, and an
opportunity to make an impact on global health in Canada, all while
enjoying the great food and company.
Price: $30
Location: HRIC atrium at the Health Science Centre. 3330 Hospital Dr. NW
Tickets will be on sale during October, 2009 and can be purchased with
cash or cheque.
