"Genetic Causation: A Fermi Problem"

How much don't we know, why that is, and are there ways to find it?

Dr. Weiss is a leading scholar in the area of evolutionary theory, human genetics and the complexities of the relationships between genes and traits like human disease or developmental patterns.  He writes a regular column on problems and issues in evolution and genetics for the journal Evolutionary Anthropology, and is the author of several books including the recent The Mermaid's Tale:  Four Billion Years of Cooperation in the Making of Living Things.
