Dr. Colditz, an internationally renowned epidemiologist, has had a long standing interest in the causes and prevention of chronic diseases, including cancer, among women. Through various longitudinal studies which he initiated and directed, he has evaluated lifestyle factors including exogenous hormones and breast cancer risk and has developed statistical models to predict cancer risk. Other areas of his expertise include tobacco and obesity in relation to cancer and other chronic diseases.
