UC Idol is an annual American Idol style event where six student contestants are given the opportunity to showcase their singing talents in front of a live voting audience and three professor judges. The show also includes various special performances including dance, music, and other unique acts. The event is open to all members of the student body, university staff, as well as the general public. UC Idol's purpose is to showcase student talent, involve the community, raise school spirit, and support charities. We will be charging $8 for tickets in advance and $10 at the door.

The Coalition’s annual capacity-building event, the Learning Forum, will allow knowledge users (program planners) and knowledge generators (researchers) to meet and learn from one another about how to interact more effectively. Participants will be able to establish partnerships, network, build capacity in knowledge translation, learn from successful global health knowledge translation case studies, and come away with an abundance of resources.
