The university has recently developed some specific policies around Overtime, Flex Time and Vacation that will be in effect August 1, 2010. These policies have been developed to assist in the management of the large financial liability the university has with these issues.

Retirement gathering for Sharon Shwed

After 23 years, the Faculty of Medicine's facilities coordinator ,Sharon Shwed will be retiring on July 16th.  To celebrate Sharon's comittment to the faculty, the Support Services office is holding a retirement gathering in her honour.

The event will be held on Friday, July 16th, 2010 from 3pm to 5pm in the HRIC Atrium.  If you wish to sign a card and make a contribution towards a gift, please see the staff in the Support Services office, HSC G385.

Tuesday July 20, 10 AM - 12 NOON. Free hands-on instruction in the Health Sciences Library Information Commons. No registration necessary – just drop in. RefWorks is a web-based bibliographic software product and therefore accessible anywhere that the user has Internet access -- on campus or from home. In this hands-on session you will be given an overview of the software, learn how to enter records, import records and generate quick bibliographies. New Facilities Coordinator - Faculty of Medicine

The Support Services Department is pleased to welcome Justin Huseby as the new Facilities Coordinator for the Faculty of Medicine.  Justin joined the Faculty on July 5, 2010 replacing Sharon Shwed who retired on July 16th.
