Dr. Paul Beck, MD '90 continues to have his hard work acknowledged by both local and international peers. He recently received the University of Calgary Faculty of Medicine’s Watanabe Award for Overall Excellence and is also the recipient of the 2012 American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) Institute Council Immunology, Microbiology & IBD Section Research Mentor Award. Kaplan is an assistant professor in the departments of health science and community medicine and an innovative gastroenterologist. Many of you will have fond memories of your interactions with Adele Meyers. During the past 35 years, over 2500 medical students have graduated from the UCalgary Faculty of Medicine, and Adele has impacted the lives of most of you, sometimes in significant ways.
